What next for the movement against corruption?

How should activists respond to growing public outrage at government corruption? Should we refrain from calling for Marcos’ resignation or ouster in light of the possibility that it could lead to Sara Duterte becoming President? If not, then what should our calls be instead? The state is currently attempting to tame, manage, and direct people’s anger away from systemic critique and confrontational actions—how should we respond? What steps or measures should we take to prevent those in power from defusing, deflecting, or coopting people’s anger and yearning for change?

In this launching episode of The Workers’ School Change-makers Roundtable Series, we tackle some of the many pressing questions activists face in light of the political crisis that has erupted following revelations about massive corruption in government.
