Palestine will NEVER walk alone

Our hearts are with you: this was the message we at Partido Sosyalita sent to the Palestinian people as we joined other solidarity activists in going to the embassy of Palestine in Makati today, the second anniversary of the Hamas-led attack on Israel and the start of Israel’s ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza.

The solidarity action—part of a global wave of protests denouncing the genocide and expressing support for Palestine—was organized by Stop the War Coalition Philippines, alongside a broad alliance of civic groups such as Kilusan para sa Pambansang Demokrasya (KILUSAN), Youth for Nationalism and Democracy, Focus on the Global South, Freedom from Debt Coalition, Partido Manggagawa, and others.

We condemned Israel’s interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla and called for an immediate end of Israel’s genocide of the Palestinian people. At the same time, we demanded that the Philippine government completely cut ties with Israel and do more to end the genocide.

But in addition, we also underscored our message to the Palestinian people that they will never walk alone. Though we are unable to do more to help them today, we will continue to be part of building a global movement struggling to build a world where Palestine is free and where peace and justice reign everywhere.
